(Unofficial) SMU Week: You Don’t Want to Miss It!
This week (November 2nd-6th) SMU will be hosting several events for the student body, including two chapels, an SMU Family Night, and a lunch on Metzger Lawn. Students have already been stepping into leadership positions for Missions Conference and Interterm Missions Teams as they connect with the great commission. These upcoming events are another opportunity for students to invest their passions in God’s kingdom.
The first event, SMU Family Night, is for any volunteers or staff connected with SMU. We will be gathering in Calvary Chapel at 7pm on Monday to pray, worship, and get updated on everyone’s progress.
Stephen Richardson will be here at Biola on Tuesday at the weekly Advancement Chapel, also in Calvary, to speak to students. Richardson is the son of Don and Carol Richardson, who served as missionaries with the cannibalistic Sawi Tribe in Irian Jaya. Students who come to hear Richardson at 9:30pm will receive chapel credit, but more than that, they are in for an incredible story.
On Friday morning, SMU will be hosting a special chapel in Chase Gymnasium. Later the same afternoon, there will be lunch served on Metzger Lawn (instead of the café). During the lunch our Interterm Teams will be sharing prayer requests and details about their upcoming missions.
If you have any questions about any of these events please contact me on BUBBS by typing SMU Publications Editor in the contact box.
