The 2010 Missions Conference is not until March, but the event is well under way with volunteers applying and coordinators chosen. The coordinators will be leading a large student volunteer staff in the organization and planning of Missions Conference. Two coordinators are assigned to each of the main departments within the conference:

Worship and Prayer: Fernando Salcedo and Maggie Hazen InterActions: Michelle Welke and Veronica Burris
Global Awareness: Scott Townley and Steven Weir Logistics: Monika Hobsen and Ashley Morgan Marketing and Hospitality: Sophia Davis and Colleen Van Houwe

“We are very grateful to have our staff,” says Director Maegen Taylor, “Our coordinators are spot on perfect.”

Since their staff retreat in early October, the coordinators have been meeting every week with Missions Conference Directors Maegen Taylor and Heather Chester. The directors have decided on the theme for this year and will be sharing it with the student body next semester. As planning continues, more volunteer staff will be needed for each of the departments and all students are welcome.

Missions Conference volunteers (along with all SMU volunteers and staff) are welcome to attend the SMU Family Night at 7 in Calvary Chapel on November 2nd. The next event for volunteers will be the All-Volunteer Retreat on November 13th and 14th.
