The Student Missionary Union (SMU) is the largest student-led missions organization in the United States. Our 26 staff members and hundreds of volunteers are committed to joining with God in the gathering of His beloved by the power of the cross of Christ, that He may be worshiped by every tribe, tongue, and nation.

We labor to mobilize students to catch a vision of God's desire for our world and passionately pursue their role in the incredible, real-life story that God began with Abraham and will end with the Messiah's second coming.

We realize that each player's role in the completion of our Savior's commission looks as different as every student involved. Through prayer ministry, long-term and short-term missions, and Missions Conference, SMU desires to see each student walking in the fullness of the diverse ways God has created us to worship and serve Him.

We worship because God is worth it! He is worthy beyond compare of our passionate response to His greatness. His grace-filled capturing of our hearts deserves nothing less than reckless obedience. We long for a campus-wide devotion to the capturing of God's heart that would lead to a lifestyle of obedience and action for the sake of His Kingdom. God's desire is for all peoples to know Him. It is to that end we gladly, joyfully, and excitedly work as worshipers, for His renown and for the revelation of His glory to the ends of the earth.
